about

Hy Brazil is a compilation series that aims to map and promote the new music produced in Brazil focusing on electronic and experimental sounds. The formula of each volume is always the same: 14 unreleased tracks by 14 new producers across the Country.

Apart from the artists themselves, Hy Brazil fits conceptually with local promoters, festivals, producers, collectives, parties, labels and venues that have been struggling in recent years to change the cultural production scenario, always presenting new ideas, formats and smart programmes. Novas Frequências, Quintavant, Wooble, Matéria, Antimatéria, 40% Foda/ Maneiríssimo, Ruído, TOC, Fazedores de Som, Metanol, Beatwise, Colab 011, Avalanche Tropical, Funk na Caixa, Fazedores de Som, Braza, Eletronika, Norópolis, Desmonta, Voodoohop, Só Pedrada Musical, Ibrasotope, Música Estranha, Dissenso, Exhale the Sound, Step In, Audio Rebel, Comuna, Espaço SA, Trackers, Casa do Mancha, among others. The list grows every month.

In 2014 are scheduled one more experimenal compilation, plus another that
